Frequently Asked Questions

When is the best time to take maternity portraits?

This answer will vary with each mama. Generically speaking anywhere around 28-36 weeks is a good time to aim for but there is LOTS to consider:

  • Comfort level: you want to make sure your maternity portraits are not scheduled too late into your pregnancy, when standing and posing may feel uncomfortable
  • Delivery date: make sure the date is early enough in your pregnancy, so that you don’t accidentally end up missing it due to an early arrival!
  • Bump size: everyone has a different idea of what their preferred bump size is. Some mamas prefer a smaller bump others want to photograph a little later to capture a fuller bump – this is completely up to you!

When it comes to maternity portraits, timing truly is EVERYTHING. We’ll work together to find the perfect date that will work best for YOU, mama!

What is the process to order photos?

Immediately after the session you will get to review your images and make your final selections, as you enjoy a yummy lunch!

What should I bring?

All we really need is you! So as far as any requirements, there is nothing we need you to bring. We can go over some suggestions of things you can bring, if you’d like. Our main goal is to make sure you are comfortable all the way through during your time with us, so if there is anything you want to bring then you certainly can!

Can I bring the rest of my family?

The event has been designed specifically for you to be able to step away from everyone else and just enjoy your pregnancy to the fullest. However, we know how important it is to include family members in your portraits, so if you’d like to include your partner and/or child/children, they are welcomed to join us. We’ll go over this in more detail together.
